Story

Please help us cover the cost of scholarship tickets for the CHS 2023 Grad Night Event.

The Capital High School Parent Organization (CHSPO) is raising funds for 2023 Grad Night, a safe and sober graduation night celebration for the CHS class of 2023. Grad Night, a longstanding CHS tradition, is an epic, professionally-produced, overnight celebration for graduating seniors only. Seniors depart in buses from graduation at approximately 10 PM the night of graduation; for an all-night extravaganza with cool games and activities, professional entertainment, great food, and much more. Students return early the following morning at around 6:30 AM. In addition to providing seniors with a fun and inclusive party, our aim is to keep the graduates safe as they celebrate their achievements. Car crashes are the #1 cause of death of teens and keeping them off the roads on graduation night is part of our objective.

Our intent is to make the Grad Night celebration open to all 2023 CHS graduates. Unfortunately, about one-third of the students at CHS qualify as low-income and will find it a challenge to cover the $155.00 ticket price. We have already raised some funds to help cover the overall cost of the event. Our goal now is to raise enough to offer scholarships to any graduate who needs assistance. We don’t plan to turn anyone away for inability to pay.

Any amount you are willing to contribute would be appreciated.

Thank you for your generous support of CHS graduates
