**Help the Community Aspect of Communities In Schools**

Every day, CISHOT volunteers show up for students who need encouragement, consistency, and connection. Many of these students face academic challenges, behavioral obstacles, or simply need an extra caring adult in their corner and with one designated CIS site coordinator on campus, volunteers make it possible for us to have consistent connection.

Our volunteers use games, fidgets, hands-on activities, and conversation starters to build trust and create safe spaces where students can find that connection to thrive. They also serve as mentors, tutors, and positive role models on our campuses.

While state funding helps support many CIS services, volunteer engagement resources are largely funded through local support. Your gift helps provide volunteer training materials, student engagement tools, board games and activities, identification shirts, and other resources that help volunteers show up in an impactful way.

Together, monthly donors help equip more than 100 volunteers serving nearly 40 campuses across our community.
