Come join the Central Jersey Choral Society for our annual Winter Concert. We will be performing various pieces from the Renaissance period.

Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. Children 12 and under are free.

From Chris Loeffler, Artistic Director:

This year, the Central Jersey Choral Society celebrates its 75th season of serving our community. As Artistic Director of the ensemble I spent a great amount of time thinking about what it meant to me musically to “look back”. I took time to consider the musical implications of thinking about what came before. In my tenure with the CJCS, we’ve performed a lot of Classical and Romantic works. That’s our musical bread and butter. As the choir moves through its 75th season, we’ll reflect on our past as well as the music that came before. Our first concert of the season is “Central Jersey Choral Society: A Renaissance”. We will explore composers throughout the Renaissance repertoire in a way that is accessible to the choir and to our audience. I have a fondness for telling a lot of stories and giving the audience a sense of what they are about to listen to. Perhaps through this journey we can find new meaning in the Classical and Romantic works with which we are already familiar.
