What is Performathon?

Performathon is a festival of continuous performances where students showcase their talents and help fundraise for the organization. Every CMCB department participates, and students from our community music school and our community engagement partnerships all perform—over 100 performances between 9am on Friday and 5pm on Saturday!

Where else can you hear students of every age and background playing music from every genre and style you can think of? Only at CMCB!

This year, Performathon ends with an open rehearsal with CMCB Orchestra. Bring your instrument to play along with the group, or come just to listen!

Waiting for the next performance slot to begin, or finished up your performance and want to celebrate? Head to Rehearsal Room B to grab a snack and participate in fun activities such as crafts, lawn games, and more. Whether you’re waiting for your performance block or winding down after, it’s the perfect spot to relax, connect, and soak up the excitement. There will even be pizza available (first come first serve!) on Saturday from 12-1PM!

Support Student Scholarships

Performathon is also a fundraiser for student scholarships! Help us make sure that finances are not a barrier to participate in music! It’s a great opportunity for students to step-up and express more about what they love about CMCB.

Families, staff, friends, and donors – you can participate too!

Fun & Prizes

Thinking about supporting the fundraiser? Every $25 you donate gets you one entry for one of our great prizes, like sports memorabilia and restaurant gift cards. Winners will be announced at the end of the weekend!

Students and Families: Earn participation points for the chance to win a pizza party!

Each lesson day of the week will team up to see who can earn the most points. The team with the most points will get to have a pizza party at CMCB! At Performathon, each student will get a stamp card to track their points.

How to earn participation points:

Perform at Performathon!
Attend a performance hour that you are not performing in
Create a fundraising page on GiveButter!
Receive donations from at least 5 different people on your fundraising page
Participate in a social activity in Room B during Performathon
Fill out the Pathways survey

More details about how to play will be emailed to you prior to the event.

The winning group will be announced on Friday, February 6!

How do I create a fundraising page for CMCB?

We are so glad that you are interested in supporting CMCB! Follow the steps below to create your personalized fundraising page:

Click the button in the Team Members section that says “Fundraise”
Sign up by uploading a photo, your first and last name, email address, phone, and a login password
Create your own page by sharing your CMCB story. You can think about answering prompts such as “what’s your favorite thing about CMCB?” or “why do you think people should support CMCB?” You can also either choose a fundraising goal for yourself, or opt to leave it blank.
Share your page with your friends and family!

If I am interested in supporting a performer’s fundraising page, how can I do so?

Look for the “Team Members” section at the top our GiveButter campaign page. Each listed “team member” is a student or individual who has created a fundraising page. You can click on the individual you’d like to support and make a gift in their honor!

How do I make a general donation to CMCB?

If you’d prefer to make a donation without entering the raffle, select the “Support Our Students” button in the top right-hand corner of our campaign page. Then, select “I’d just like to donate” in the bottom left.
