Who We Are

We are Crisis Relief and Recovery, a dedicated team of trained disaster response and relief professionals committed to bringing immediate, impactful aid to communities affected by natural disasters. We bring leadership and order to chaotic environments to organize impact and direct resources directly to the hands that need them most. We target underserved communities that are hit the hardest that already have a long term partner serving in the area.

The Situation

Hurricane Helene Made Landfall

On September 26, Hurricane Helene's center moved ashore around 11:10 p.m. EDT Thursday night about 10 miles west-southwest of Perry, Florida, with winds of 140 mph, Category 4 intensity, and a pressure of 938 millibars, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Helene is also the third hurricane to landfall in Florida's Big Bend Region in just under 13 months. Three of the last five hurricanes to landfall in the mainland U.S. have done so in this Big Bend region.

Now downgraded to a Tropical Storm, Helene continues to dump record breaking rainfall across Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Flooding, tornadoes, severe wind damage are projected across the region.

Our Mission

A small team, ADVanced liaisON or ADVON team - to deploy to scout the region for heavily-hit and economically disadvantaged communities. Our deployment model includes the need for a local partner, facilities to accommodate follow-on teams, and the potential for long-term rebuilding of disadvantaged communities. When we find a location to respond with our Go-No-Go Criteria, we intend to deploy an IRT team where we determine we can make the most impact.
A larger IRT team is highly likely to be deployed as we've already determined record-breaking damages across the region.

Our Goal: Raising $10,000 $50,000

We aim to raise $50,000 to fund our mission, and we need your support. After sending an ADVON team to investigate the western NC area, we recognize that the need is huge! So we increased our goal 5x. The majority of your donation will go directly to the families that need help--through tarping, resources for mucking and gutting drywall and household items, and potential eventual rebuild . Part of your donation will go to enable our teams on the ground, including logistics, equipment, and communication as we set up an operations center.
