We're gonna get there with a few new and tried tricks:

Donor cowbell goals: 25 new sustainers, 50 streamer donors, 50 new donors, and 50 donors who haven’t given yet this year.
- Donors of $52 of more get a limited edition sticker!
- Donors of $250 or more, get to pick anything they want from our swag store (there are new designs and swag this year).

$8K in matches! This helps us bring in more new donors, sustainers, and folks who haven’t given yet this year. Fall Fundrive 2025 Matches:
- - Kick off weekend match from our underwriters, Galaxy Books, the Vermont Arts Council, and East Hill Tree Farm: Up to $1,700 will be matched from any gift made this weekend.
  - Sunday mornings, "Curse of the Golden Turnip" Match: Up to $2,500, made possible by generous major donors.
  - Our New Donor and New Sustainer Match: Up to $1,450 from our generous CVCR Board.
  - The Last Weekend Match: Up to $2,500 made possible from a major donor gift from Larry Kressley & George Kimmerling.

Why Community Radio Matters!

As our friends in the arts, libraries, humanities, and larger media have come under attack this year, community radio has stepped forward to be the voice of the people. At Central Vermont Community Radio, we are:

protecting free speech and access to the airwaves by covering and civilly conversing about what is happening to our democracy and how it impacts us locally;
helping the helpers in responding to emergencies like flooding and man-made ones like fear-mongering;
and expanding locally made content with hyper local forecasts, event coverage, and 70 Vermonters doing shows that keep folks informed, connected, and hopeful.

The community has responded to this focus on real, human-made content for this moment. We now have over 18K listeners – on the radio and online – a huge jump in engagement since we took over station ownership a mere four years ago. Our schedule is already 75% locally made, centering local folks and matters in all we do. At a time when many public and community radio stations are turning it down due to federal pressure and defunding, WGDR & WGDH are turning it up! Community radio has never been more important - we are the crossroads for connection, caring conversation, and community - events, mutual aid, emergencies, and everyday life.
