We value child-led play by cultivating their innate curiosity.
We value inclusivity by being respectful of all and
encourage museum accessibility to all.
We value collaboration with the community to create
partnerships that offer more opportunities and benefits
to our visitors and community stakeholders.

Our vision is to be a pillar in the community that provides
families access to inspiring and educational programming
that celebrates diversity and creativity while building the
foundations of whole child development.

Founded in 1996, CWCM opened its doors in May of 1997 at the CenterPoint Mall in a humble 1,200 sq. ft. storefront. Caring families and businesses in the Central Wisconsin community made it happen. We have since increased our space, and still cared for by community families.
