One Pint at a Time Film Premiere and Bottle Share July 19 - 20, 2024

We are excited to host the National Black Brewers Association (NB2A) July 19^th and July 20^th for a fun and informative weekend of food, craft beer, and enlightening conversations. The highlight of the weekend will be the Maine Premiere of One Pint at a Time - a production of 2Hands20Fingers LLC. This documentary is the first to examine the struggles and triumphs of Black brewers and entrepreneurs in the American craft beer industry.

There are 165 active breweries in Maine, and none of them are Black or Brown-owned. This stark lack of representation mirrors the national landscape, where less than 1% of nearly 10,000 breweries are Black-owned, despite the craft beer industry's $30+ billion annual revenue. One Pint at a Time is a compelling documentary that follows the Black experience in the American craft beer industry, highlighting the significant barriers faced by Black brewers.

In collaboration with The Third Place and Black Travel Maine, Orange Bike Brewing is excited to announce a vital initiative in Maine to support Black and Brown brewers and entrepreneurs. By attending this event, you're not just watching a film; you're supporting the mission of the National Black Brewers Association (NB2A). The NB2A was created to address the disparity in ownership and foster a more inclusive craft beer industry by raising funds, sourcing commercial properties, and providing business skills to prospective Black brewery owners.

Friday, July 19, 6-8 PM: “Bottle Share” Event

Bring and share your favorite beers or beverages (including non-alcoholic options) and connect with members of the NB2A Board of Directors and creators of One Pint at a Time. This evening is all about good vibes and great brews. Support and celebrate increasing inclusion in Maine’s craft beer community! This event is 21 and over. Food trucks on-site.

Saturday, July 20, 3 PM: Maine Premiere of One Pint at a Time - TICKETS REQUIRED
Location: Toad & Co., 31 Diamond Street, Suite B, Portland, ME 04101

One Pint at a Time is the first documentary in history to dive into the Black experience in American craft beer. This captivating film sparked the creation of the NB2A, and this is an opportunity to see why! The screening will take place at Toad&Co.’s event room, accessible through Orange Bike’s beer garden. Stick around after the screening for a lively Q&A session with the filmmakers and NB2A Board of Directors members. Food trucks on-site.
