Since 2020, Haki Farmers Collective has been building a vision of true food justice and sovereignty in the South Sound. Over the years, we have empowered BIPOC community members to return to the land, reconnect with ancestral and inherently sustainable farming practices, and restore the soil that nourishes us all.

With the unwavering support of our community—our volunteers, donors, and champions—we’ve grown stronger each season. We’ve expanded to our Littlerock farm, deepened our commitment to ancestral agriculture & soil health practices, nourish our soils and , taken up beekeeping, and grown culturally relevant crops that strengthen both our food systems and our connections with our communities. Along the way, we’ve built powerful partnerships, shared our story at events like the Port Townsend Film Festival, and gathered in celebration at our End of Season Feast.

Our work has been fueled by a blend of farm revenue, grants, and generous donations from larger sponsors. However, shifting federal funding priorities are currently putting many farm and social justice grants at risk this year. Additionally, we are losing the land of our Urban Farm, which we’ve lovingly tended to for nearly 5 years. While we are heartbroken, these setbacks have only reinforced our commitment to creating a robust growing space that can support our farm collective as well as our growing market.

We’re planning two fundraisers this year - one for our immediate needs and another, later this year, to help us invest in the purchase of land where we can have true autonomy, where our BIPOC farmers feel empowered to grow, to plan for a future without uncertainty.

Our Goal: $50,000 for Immediate Farm Needs

To continue growing, we are calling on you—our community—to help us raise $50,000 for critical farm investments, including:

🌾 BCS Tractor – $15,000 To expand efficiency and regenerative practices
🌱 High Tunnel – $5,000 For season extension & crop protection
🌿 Low Tunnel Supplies – $2,000 To increase resilience against weather changes
👩🏾‍🌾 Seasonal Labor – $10,000 To support fair wages for farmworkers
❄️ Cold Storage – $8,000 Store harvests & aggregate food for all collective members
🫙Commercial Kitchen Rentals – $3,000 To support the production of value added goods
💦Irrigation Supplies – $2000 To expand our existing irrigation to accommodate new farmers on the land
⚡ Electricity Installation – $5,000 To power essential farm operations
