Filipino Americans represent one of the largest Asian American subgroups in the United States, yet remain persistently underrepresented across the medical education pipeline, from matriculation through the physician workforce (Santos et al., 2024). This disparity persists despite generations of Filipino healthcare workers serving as the backbone of American medicine and rich traditions of healing within our communities.

The CYFAM 2026 Conference in Texas, home to one of nation's largest Filipino American communities, invites us to see ourselves as we truly are: mga bituin, stars whose individual light contributes to a greater constellation. For CYFAM, we believe that from the IMG charting a credentialing pathway, the first-generation student navigating unfamiliar terrain, the attending physician whose mentorship illuminates the path for others, to the premedical student whose story is just beginning, bawat bituin, bawat kuwento: every star, every story matters.

In the spirit of bayanihan, this conference recognizes that stars shine brightest not in isolation but in constellations. Through experiential learning, structured mentorship, and applied workshops, we transform individual journeys into collective brilliance, building networks that sustain careers, developing skills that advance equity, and honoring the stories that make our community whole.

Our new location in Texas and its Filipino community provide the ideal launchpad for this gathering. CYFAM hopes that attendees will not merely be inspired; they will leave with concrete tools, lasting connections, and renewed purpose to light the way for those who follow.

Can I register on-site?
- Yes, you may register on-site for the Conference by revisiting this page. QR codes and other signage will be present to guide you back here.

- We do not accept cash payments at this time or on-site at the Conference.
How do I pay by check?

Where is the venue?
- In Houston, TX. More information on the venue will be available in the coming days!
When do I get my name badge?
- You will receive your name badge during check-in at the Conference.
- Attendees registered on or after March 6, 2026, may be provided a hand-written name badge. This is due to logistical limitations for processing conference registrations. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Do I need to keep my name badge for both days?
- Yes, we kindly ask that you retain your name badge for all days of the Conference.
- Loss of your name badge may require re-registration and a new ticket.
Are lunch and snacks/beverages provided at the Conference?
- Yes, lunch is provided as part of your ticket for Day 1. Select snacks and beverages are provided on both days.
- Note that lunch is not provided for attendees under the Guest Pass: Single-Session Access Only ticket.
I am presenting. Do I need to register?
- Yes, as a presenter, you must register for the Conference.
I am an exhibitor. Do I need to register?
- Yes, as an exhibitor, you must register for the Conference.
- Please indicate that you are an Exhibitor as part of the registration process. Each exhibitor ticket purchase is entitled to two (2) persons. Any additional persons must register for the full ticket price, according to their tier.
  - For example, if Company X wishes to have five (5) persons represent them at the Conference, two (2) persons are covered, and the remaining three (3) persons must purchase individual tickets. If Company X decides to purchase the Guest Pass: Single-Session Access Only ticket for the remaining three (3) persons, they may only attend the Exhibitions component of the Conference.
- Exhibitors are permitted to attend Day 2 of the Conference.
Can I register a guest?
- CYFAM does not offer a full guest registration. Presenters can have two (2) spouses, parents, mentors, and/or friends attend their specific session for $9.95/each; additional persons must register for the full Conference. This can be added during the registration process.
  - Please select the Guest Pass: Single-Session Access Only ticket when registering your guest. You must accompany your guest at check-in.
  - If you would like your guest(s) to accompany you to multiple sessions, events, or the exhibition hall, they must register for the full Conference.
Can my family attend the Conference?
- Supervised children 17 and younger can attend for free and are welcome in all areas of the Conference during open times. However, if children begin to make noise during scientific sessions, it’s critical that parents remove them from the room immediately so as not to disturb the session. Children are not permitted in any Conference space during set-up and tear-down. Children must follow the health and safety policies to remain at the meeting.
- Presenters can have up to two (2) spouses, parents, mentors, and/or friends attend their session for $9.95/each. This can be added during the registration process. If you would like your family member(s) to accompany you to multiple sessions and events, they must be registered for the Conference.
