Eligibility

We invite professional muralists with prior experience completing large-scale outdoor work to apply. Artists must demonstrate the ability to create durable, site-specific, and weather-resistant murals.

Open to:

Artists based in Florida (with preference for Central Florida artists)
Artists with at least one completed mural project (must submit photos)
Emerging and established muralists welcome

Also, artists who specialize in art for smaller scale projects (such as traffic boxes, art installations and general beautification) should apply. In addition, art for merchandise purposes

What to Submit

Each applicant must complete the online application and submit the following:

Artist Information

Full Name
Email Address
City, State, ZIP
Instagram handle
Portfolio website (if available)

Experience + Background

Resume or brief artist statement (1 paragraph on your background, subject matter, techniques, and inspiration)
Years of experience creating murals
Preferred medium(s)
Price range per square foot for mural work

Work Samples
Submit at least 3 images of completed mural projects, including:

Title or name of project (if applicable)
Location
Year completed
Approximate square footage

There is a $10 application donation for all applicants.

Selection Process

The Milk District Design Committee will review all submissions and select artists whose work meets the aesthetic, technical, and community-aligned values of the district.

Selected artists will be included in the 2026 Milk District Mural Lookbook, which will be shared with local businesses and stakeholders to encourage public art commissions. All entries will be saved in a digital format (spreadsheet) as a reference for future projects, as they arise.
