Leila Tuwiner's Story

I am excited to share my passion for swimming by raising money and awareness for individuals with disabilities through a splash-a-thon fundraiser with my swim team in support of the Joey Pizzano Memorial Fund (JPMF) JPMF is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. The fun was created in memory of Joey Pizzano, a six or a boy with intellectual disabilities who brought joy to many with his bright smile and love of life. JPMF focuses on helping children with special needs through their signature water safety program JPMF Splash! and projects like our special Harbor Sprayground they also host events for adults with disabilities and many other initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
