The Skinny Gene Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people at risk stop type 2 diabetes before it starts—especially in communities that are often under-resourced and overlooked. We partner with local and national organizations to deliver a life-changing program that helps participants change the behaviors that lead to chronic disease. Our program is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for its effectiveness in reducing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by more than 50%. It costs just $500 per person to deliver, but each graduate can save thousands in future medical expenses. What began in one San Diego neighborhood has now expanded to hundreds of communities across California, helping families live longer, healthier lives.

Why Sponsor Casino Royale: Part Deux?

When you sponsor Casino Royale: Part Deux, you’re helping protect California’s only statewide safety net for diabetes prevention — a lifeline for families who might otherwise go without care.

Your partnership creates a direct, local impact:

Strengthen Our Safety Net: Ensure high-risk families in our communities get the prevention support they deserve.
Change Lives Close to Home: Each $500 covers a full year of proven lifestyle coaching for one person, reducing their risk of type 2 diabetes by more than 50%.
Raise Your Profile Locally: Connect your brand with a socially engaged audience while showing your commitment to health equity right here in San Diego County and beyond.
Stand in the Gap: With federal funding gone, your support fills the void — keeping prevention alive for our neighbors when it’s needed most.

Together, we can turn the tide on type 2 diabetes — and have a little fun while we’re at it.
