The Westlake High School Chaparral Band is a 228-member, award-winning high school band recognized as one of the top overall music education programs in the country.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS CRITICAL to fuel excellence in the arts + help students in need

WHY? Central Texas is THE most competitive region in the nation for HS bands, but we're at a funding disadvantage

64% of Eanes tax revenue is “recaptured” & sent to less affluent Texas schools – district funding limited and puts our band at a significant disadvantage when compared to other 6A bands
Band participation is expensive and some students struggle with participation fees, travel and tutoring expenses -- our goal is no student left behind or left out!
AND, Chap Band is traveling to Hawaii this year to perform on the Pearl Harbor Pier (an expensive but experience-rich trip that financially stresses some families), so extra support is needed

We have a $125,000 funding gap this year (or $548 per student). Sponsorships flow through Westlake Band Parents, a 501(c)(3) booster club established in 1976 whose sole purpose is to support the student musicians of Eanes ISD middle & high schools, enabling the highest quality music education and youth development experiences.
