When Charlie Goodson opened the doors to Charley G’s on Ambassador Caffery in 1985, he did more than just build a restaurant—he created the backdrop for Acadiana’s most cherished memories. For over 40 years, he stood as a pioneer who introduced us to new styles of cooking, transformed Acadiana's culinary scene, and mentored his staff like family.
