One thing that can make or break a small rescue is the money spent medical bills. The dogs we receive are usually not spayed/neutered or up to date on shots. With Cane Corsos, there are a couple of other issues that are common and one of them is the notorious cherry eye! Many dogs come in with them and are easily looked over by adopters...

So we are asking for your help in covering these reoccurring medical costs. On the low end, repairing 1 eye costs us $300. There are also occasions where the surgery has to be done again if the healing doesn't go well. We're not saying we don't like cherries, but there's a time and a place for everything... and we think cherries go in pie, not eyes!

We are asking for your help for Marz. Marz came from the Prince George's County Animal Shelter and although he wasn't on an urgent list, we got an urgent call because he was experiencing kennel stress. You know our Corsos are sensitive guys so we couldn't have that. But in pulling him so quickly, we miss out on essential pledges that help with costs of medical needs... so we must turn to you. Will you help us cover Marz' eye surgery (and neuter)? GOAL: $1,000

2/20/26:

Sweet Nike came to us and she is suffering from painful entropion. If you aren't familiar, imagine if your eyelashes were constantly rubbing your eye... now imagine it being your entire furry face rolling inward. Nike needs a little eye lift, but it's not just cosmetic. This eye surgery will help save her vision and painful symptoms and swelling. GOAL: $700

5/29/26:

It's been a minute since we asked for help in this area, but here we are. These two were found in a field in Eastern Virginia. Probably dumped by a "greeder" because they didn't want to invest in eye surgery. So we need you x2! GOAL: $1,600 for all 4 eyes to be repaired.
