Welcome to the 39th Annual Detroit Waldorf School Walk-a-thon!

Detroit Waldorf School’s 39th Annual Walk-a-thon will be held on Friday, October 14th and we are thrilled to be back on Belle Isle! Students, teachers, families, and friends will walk around the island to help raise funds for DWS and celebrate the beauty of our community. All are welcome to walk with their child’s class. The Walk-a-thon is our largest student-powered fundraiser and an exciting way to get students active in supporting DWS.

Donations help to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the cost of running the school. This year, our goal is to raise $63,500 that will directly support the exceptional education that Detroit Waldorf School provides our students. This goal breaks down to $250 per child, plus an additional $5,000 from our greater community.

In the spirit of giving and giving back, we are excited to continue the service project component of the Walk-a-thon this year. Students will engage in a good deed or volunteer their time to learn the value of giving back to our community. More info to come.
