Friends, we need your help!

Due to unexpected federal cutbacks, Delray’s own “Eat Better Live Better” has just lost 75% of a key USDA grant that was allocated to help feed and nourish at-risk families here in Delray and surrounding areas. This could not have come at a worse time, as many of our school-age children lose meals they otherwise would receive during the school year.

Losing these USDA funds has put a significant strain on EBLB’s ability to continue providing nutrient-dense meals to at-risk families in our community. Seeking ways to help fill this gap, a group of folks from across the Delray community got together and came up with some ideas on how we could assist EBLB and the families they serve.

Thanks to the efforts of Lisa Walsh, co-owner of Tim Finnegan’s, Steve Martel’s “The Joe Cotton Band”, Daniel Hartwell from “United We Rock & Beatles On The Beach”, Stephen Dickstein founder of Best Of Delray and Gregg Weiss, founder of Delray Beach Community Forum & Communia Media, a benefit concert for EBLB will be held on Friday June 27th from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub, 2885 S
Federal Hwy, Delray Beach.

The benefit features The Joe Cotton Band performing not one but two incredible sets, raffles for staycations, experiences & other cool prizes, and a few other “Surprises” throughout the evening!

Cost: All we ask is that attendees donate some of the following - ***Gift cards to any of our local supermarkets, Oatmeal, Canned Vegetables, Canned Chicken, Canned Tuna, Olive Oil & Avocado Oil.

Can’t make the event but still want to help?

Collection Boxes: There will be collection boxes at Tim Finnegan’s starting Monday, June 9th, and we’ll be collecting up through the night of the benefit.
