Although Art begins with a strong inspiration (the Muse) that lives within the confinements of our souls until we acknowledge it and unlock the commitment to fulfill its mandates, producing art is such a gruesome and costly process to realize, that most artists never flourish.

The old adage of the "starving artist" is a consequence of the artist's plight. Willing to endure all sorts of difficulties and go to great lengths to hone, polish, prepare, compete, and succeed as an artist, only to be left out in the cold when there's no startup investment or guide to help them plan their path to glory.

Most artists only get sneers for trying.

Producing art takes courage!

I know. I am an artist. I would always hide my aspirations, even from myself. ,Then, there was always so much to do: keep a roof over my head, comply with social norms, raise children, and find myself.

I went through life not knowing exactly what I wanted until I found my calling. It matters that teaching Language Arts for 22 years in American settings both rural and urban, conspired with the storyteller in me.

Finally, I found a school following the Smithsonian's curricular philosophy for museum education, met someone in filmmaking, and was hooked forever!

After years of practicing storytelling as a teacher, I knew I could set sail during high tide and approach show business. But the gatekeepers at the beach party on the bay require you have a pass. Not knowing how or where to get the ticket, I took to training in and out of the writing room on such things that make moving pictures not just an art form but a business.

Reviews, Blurbs, Competitions, Exhibitions, Publications, Film Screenings, Production, and the big M, MARKETING, all involve hefty fees, high cost, and collaboration.

As an artist,I will never regret all that I have given up and stand up to, instead of wishing that the day would come for perfect timing. My way is in the making.
