TRU IN CONCERT is a specially produced experience for Conclave 2023.

We will have the pleasure of hearing a selection of songs from the musical TRU performed live for us.

TRU was created by David Gosz and Leo Fotos who are musical theatre creators based in New York City. They are first-year members of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and members of the TNNY National Writers Lab.

TRU, was a finalist for the 2017 New York Musical Festival, and debuted with the first-ever sold-out run at the 2018 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival where it took home 14 nominations and 2 wins for "Best Choreography" and "Best Music".

The production has received wide praise and acclaim for its "impactful telling of the relationship between an individual and their mental illness."

The Network choose to make this the featured performance of the evening because of our commitment to amplify self-expression platforms that help destigmatize mental health and inspire understanding

CRUSH THE STIGMA - CLOSE THE GAP

This picture shows the Concealment gap issuue. For Generations. Harm From Mental Health Challenges Has Been A Silent Public Crisis. The Silence Is Made Of Stigmas That Shape How We Approach Every Facet Of Mental Health Care. This Silence Of Stigma Forces A Gap Between The Onset Of Mental Health Challenges And The Point Of Care. Each Struggle With Mental Health Grows In This Gap, Concealed By Stigmatizing Silence Until Symptoms Cannot Be Hidden. The Hope For Us Network Closes The Gap Between The Onset Of Mental Health Challenges And The Point Of Care.
