Give our 3K-K families Cool Culture Cards for free admission to art and cultural institutions city-wide!

Let's get our youngest scholars into New York's world-famous museums, zoos, gardens and more! By helping to fund this project, you can give Locke's 3K, PreK, and Kindergarten students -- over 150 children -- access to the Cool Culture Family Pass, an all-inclusive access card that provides each kid with free and unlimited general admission for up to 5 people (children and adults!) to nearly ninety cultural institutions for one year!

With a donation of $25 per child (at 100% participation), we can open access to thousands of dollars worth of admissions fees for every family. Since not every family can afford to contribute, we ask that you please consider sponsoring another child in your class and donating $50.

Cool Culture believes that "art is a human right, a powerful means of self-expression, and a bridge that allows us to transcend boundaries between and across cultures to build community." This community begins right here in Harlem -- where El Museo del Barrio, the National Jazz Museum, the Sugar Hill Children's Museum, and the soon-to-reopen Studio Museum will be free right here on our doorstep -- and extends to the furthest reaches of the city: to the botanical gardens and children's museums of every borough; Central Park Zoo; the American Museum of Natural History; the Met and the Cloisters; MoMa and MoMA PS1; the New York Hall of Science; the Intrepid; the Whitney and Guggenheim, and many more...

Students under age 5 are not allowed on NYC yellow school buses due to carseat laws, so Cool Culture is our PTA's alternative to their field trip fund. With these passes, our students and their families are granted free access to institutions they might not normally get a chance to explore due to lack of financial resources, accessibility, or awareness. And because each pass can bring up to five people, the impact of your donation is multiplied, benefitting not only each child but parents, siblings, even friends who get to tag along. Together, we can open these doors for both our kids and the communities who love them.
