Who are HEROs for GOD?

They are people like you in our community who because of their Love, Faith, and Belief in the power of God go above and beyond to help their community and those most in need.

From 2000-2020 more than 28,000 North Carolinians lost their lives to drug overdose. More than 100 of those died right here in Dare County. The death toll has risen 92% since 2020.

37% of all Dare County deaths are from drug overdose.

North Carolina fentanyl deaths have risen from 111 in 2013 to 3,117 lives lost in 2021.

More and more our community needs help fighting the Substance Use Disorder, opioid, and fentanyl crisis.

Through our Peer Support Specialists (PSS), Cross Roads is able to come alongside those trying to leave a life of addiction and walk with them through the seemingly endless gauntlet of decisions. We connect them to the many community resources and agencies available here in Dare County. We also share the love of Jesus Christ through friendship, advocacy, support, and accountability.

As you can see from the statistics above the need is larger than ever. We are very much in need of an additional Peer Support Specialist (PSS). Cross Roads is accountable for every penny we use, so we are raising the funds for the PSS salary in advance.
