We LOVE books. But you know what else we love?

Seeing children’s eyes light up when they discover our table full of books at community events. Watching them thoughtfully peruse the selection--oohing and aahing over titles and authors they've heard about. Hearing their excitement when they find out they can choose their favorite books to take home for free.

Connecting kids with books is what WordPlay Connects is all about. Through our book giveaways in the community and author and illustrator visits in schools, we're spreading the joy of reading throughout our five-county region.* Here in our neck of the woods, book access is often limited due to rural and economic challenges--so the more kids we can reach with free books, the better.

Since 2022, we’ve gifted young readers with more than 16,000 new books--thanks to generous donors like you. Together, we can ensure that young readers continue to discover new stories and build robust home libraries--which positively impacts not only the kids but also their families and communities.
