As the year comes to a close, we have been reflecting on what it truly means for a young person to have a safety net. Not the kind that catches them once, but the kind that stays steady — the way most of us were supported by family well past age 18, 21, even 26.

For the youth and young parents in our community who have experienced foster care, that safety net often isn’t there.

At Our House, we step into that gap — providing the stable housing, trusted adults, health and wellness support, life skills, mentoring, and baby essentials that every young person deserves. This year alone, we’ve supported dozens of young people as they’ve found safe housing, completed school, secured employment, reunited with their children, and built the foundations of healthy adulthood.

And now, thanks to a generous group of donors and board leaders, we have a $15,000 matching challenge to close out the year.
