Our horses may be retired, but their medical needs never are.

At Hills of Gold Equine Retirement Sanctuary, veterinary care is one of our largest and most unavoidable expenses. The horses in our care are seniors — many with chronic conditions, old injuries, dental issues, arthritis, metabolic disorders, and age-related illness that require ongoing monitoring and treatment.

Routine care alone includes wellness exams, vaccines, dental evaluations, medications, and farrier-vet coordination. But with senior horses, emergencies are always a possibility. A sudden colic, an abscess, an infection, or a rapid decline can mean an urgent vet visit — and immediate, life-saving decisions.

These horses cannot wait. When they need care, they need it now.
