Our work primarily takes place here in Orange County, North Carolina, but Habitat for Humanity of Orange County also supports various international projects. In its over 40-year history, Orange Habitat has invested over $1.4 million in 354 international housing solutions.

In January 2024, I was able to travel on my first Global Village trip volunteering in Yamarangulia, Honduras, with Habitat para la Humanidad Honduras, and I'm excited to have the chance to go back in 2026! The trip last year was life-changing for me. I was able to be part of a group that installed 2 concrete floors, finished and waterproofed the exterior of 2 adobe houses, and constructed a sanitary latrine from adobe bricks. We also built wonderful relationships with the homeowners, their children, the Habitat staff in Honduras, and our fellow volunteers. We anticipate a similar experience this year, but in a different town called Gracias.

I am fundraising to help pay for my costs, which includes a donation of $930 to the Honduras affiliate to continue to build homes, communities, and hope. I appreciate your support in advance!
