Since 1984, Caregivers: Volunteers Assisting the Elderly has been a lifeline for Ventura County seniors who wish to remain independent in their own homes. What began as a small faith-based outreach program has grown into one of the nation’s first and most respected volunteer caregiving organizations.

Every week, hundreds of trained volunteers give their time to help local seniors with simple but meaningful acts such as a ride to the doctor, a grocery trip, a friendly visit, or a helping hand around the house. For many of the seniors we serve, this connection is far more than assistance. It’s companionship, dignity, and a reminder that they are not alone.

Our mission is to ensure that aging does not mean isolation. With no charge for services, every mile driven, meal delivered, and conversation shared is made possible entirely through the generosity of our community.
