Design Challenge Network exists to change that by working with teachers who want to bring real-world, project-based design challenges into their classrooms.

We believe students deserve classrooms that are engaging and inspiring — and that teachers should have the tools to make that possible. In our challenges students identify real problems, create solutions, and present their ideas to panels of community and industry leaders. Students and teachers report increased energy, purpose, and relevance. See our Impact Report below to learn more.

In 2025, we launched our first School-Based Design Challenges in Hopkinton and Hinsdale, New Hampshire. Our signature regional event, the Community Changemaker Challenge, continues to grow—engaging students from 13 schools and more than 30 teams last year. And our Teacher Workshops are empowering more educators to unlock student potential.
