FOR OUR YOUTH

The Youth Sculling program is more than rowing - we are training athletes' minds, spirits and bodies.

FOR ADAPTIVE ATHLETES: OARBUSTERS

On the water, adaptive athletes find freedom with the OarBusters program. Our committed para-rowers (civilian scullers with disabilities), ably assisted by DSC’s exceptional volunteers and family members, continue to increase their endurance, strength and rowing technique in boats or land workouts adapted to their individual needs.

FOR OUR VETERANS: FREEDOM ROWS-DELTA HEROES

Military veterans of all abilities, including those challenged with PTS, TBI, and orthopedic injuries, experience new life though Freedom Rows-Delta Heroes. Here they can connect with fellow veterans and new friends while gaining physical and mental strength, thanks to sculling.

Every year adaptive athletes, military veterans with disabilities, and underserved youth and their families, can experience the joy of sculling through our programs. Your contribution plays a vital role in making this impact possible:

Professional coaching is provided to youth, military veterans, and other athletes with disabilities at reduced or no cost.
Introductory experiences and summer sculling camps are offered without charge to individuals with limited financial means.
Adaptive equipment is tailored to meet the specific needs of athletes, both veterans and civilians, ensuring their full and safe participation in both indoor rowing and sculling activities.
Transportation is provided to participants who need rides to and from the boathouse.

With your support, Delta Sculling Center (DSC) can expand its programs to benefit more Stockton residents.

Your contribution directly contributes to the growth of inclusive and adaptive programming at DSC, enabling us to continue moving forward and positively impacting the lives of many.

ABOUT DSC : Diversity, equity and inclusion are more than just words at Delta Sculling Center-Where EveryBODY Sculls. It’s how we came into being. We began by serving adult civilians and military veterans with and without disabilities. Our programs have expanded to encourage youth to develop healthy habits and self-esteem by promoting exercise in local schools and in after-school programs at our boathouse. We support comradery and the love of the sport, and built partnerships in our community mean everything to us.
