On behalf of the California HMong Advocates Network (CHAN) - Building Our Future (BOF) for Peace Collaborative, we humbly invite you to support our regional events during October’s National Domestic Violence Awareness month, in remembrance of victims and survivors whose lives and families have been impacted by domestic violence, family violence and gender-based violence.

CHAN-BOF's Regional Advisory Boards in Fresno, Merced and Sacramento will each be hosting future events for their selected target audience in their community in the month of October, in hopes to:

1. Increase awareness of domestic violence and our movement to end gender-based violence;
2. Share the key findings of our community participatory research project: Centering HMoob Survivors’ Stories where we interviewed HMong women survivors of domestic violence to learn more about the kind of support they need in seeking help;
   
3. Distribute our resources, such as our English and HMong safety plan, directory of organizations that provide direct services and advocacy support, an LGBTQIA resource brochure, and first-aid kits;
   
4. Continuing community conversations on shifting cultural and gender norms that impact survivors informed by our research.
