In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Center for Nonviolence presents Natural Shocks— a powerful, one-woman play written by award-winning playwright Lauren M. Gunderson and performed by local actor and former Center for Nonviolence client Kat Hickey.

Natural Shocks is a gripping story that blends sharp wit and raw honesty to explore the hidden dangers women face at the crosshairs of domestic abuse and gun violence. Set against the backdrop of an approaching tornado, the play raises urgent questions, sparks conversation, and calls us all to action.
