I am honored to be part of this incredible opportunity to raise both funds and awareness for the inspiring programs and classes offered by InnerRhythms. Anyone who knows me well knows that I love to dance—not the on-a-stage-in-front-of-an-audience kind, but the kind where I feel completely free, as if no one is watching. Stepping into this experience is truly outside my comfort zone, and while I’m excited, I’m also more than a little terrified—which makes the challenge all the more meaningful. I deeply believe that dance and movement have the power to heal and even change the world.
I love Truckee and our community, and it has been a privilege to serve it in many roles over the years—as a high school English teacher, a small business owner, and now as an employee of the Town of Truckee. I am especially passionate about teen mental wellness and advocate for free therapy for local students in crisis through Heart of Gold Teen Therapy.
I’m passionate about bagging peaks, practicing yoga, and hugging trees. Above all else, nothing has brought me more joy than raising my beautiful children here alongside my husband of 30 years, Hardy. They inspire me daily and continue to be my greatest teachers and my loudest cheerleaders.
