Detroit Waldorf School is excited to announce our Inaugural Alumni Giving Day! On Wednesday, May 1st we will celebrate Alumni Giving Day and the 50th anniversary of the first 8th grade graduating class with Theo Buergin! Our goal for Giving Day is to encourage all of our incredible Alumni (students, parents, grandparents, and teachers) to make a gift in honor of their time spent at DWS and to have 100% participation. No matter the size, every gift matters.

A special thanks to our Alumni Resource Panel who collectively donated $2,000 to launch this campaign! Thank you to Kristine Altwies, Michelle Duncan, Jumah Hamilton, Renita Nesby LiVolsi, Jennifer Morris, Neal Newman, David Olmstead, Maureen McNulty Saxton, Claudia Valsi, and Chris Vaneman.

Your donation may be directed to the following areas of need:

Area of Greatest Need: By entrusting DWS with your gift in this unrestricted category, you empower the School to respond to issues and opportunities throughout the year—wherever and whenever they arise.
Teacher Classroom Supplies: When you help fund the budgetary needs of a teacher's classroom, you ensure they have what they need to provide a rich DWS education to all of their students.
Teacher Professional Development: Providing professional development opportunities is critical to attracting and retaining the distinguished faculty who uphold the high caliber and care of a Detroit Waldorf School education.
Accessible Tuition: This program funds the School's annual tuition forgiveness scholarships and helps make a DWS education affordable to all.
Preservation of Building and Grounds: Supports the care and maintenance of our beloved buildings and school campus.

All donations must be made by 11:59pm (ET) on May 15th, 2024 to be counted towards the Alumni Giving Day campaign.
