My name is Jennifer Washburn, and I’m a local realtor serving the Triad area. ❤️ I’m so excited to be participating in **Dancing with the Stars of High Point, one of the biggest fundraisers supporting Communities In Schools of High Point. If you don’t know about this incredible nonprofit, I want to share a little about what they do. Communities In Schools provides students with a support system beyond what teachers and school counselors can provide, helping remove the barriers that can stand in the way of a child’s success. They provide: 🎓 Academic support and tutoring 👩‍🏫 Mentoring and relationships with caring adults 🍎 Help with basic needs such as food, clothing and other resources 🧠 Behavioral and social\-emotional support 🏫 Attendance and school\-engagement support 💼 Career exploration, job shadowing and college preparation 👨‍👩‍👧 Connecting families with community resources Their mission is simple but incredibly important: **remove whatever barrier is keeping a child from succeeding in school. I’m honored to be part of an event that raises money for such an important cause and helps keep our kids supported, engaged and on the path toward success. ❤️ I can’t wait to dance, have some fun, and most importantly, help raise money for the students and families in our community! 💃✨ More to come as I get ready for the big night! 🪩
