For over 12 years, Dangerous Man Brewing has been more than just a business to us - it has been a labor of love, a sanctuary for community, and a testament to hard work guided by deep principles of lifelong learning and care for the world around us. Our beer creations are inspired by this world - be that, nature, music, food, friends, art, local ingredients, etc.

Dangerous Man Brewing is truly a work of blood, sweat, and tears with passion as the driving force. We are so grateful and thankful for your continued support. We want to be around for years to come and to gather again with our friends and community. However, to do this, we need the help from our greatest attribute - our community.

After weathering the challenges of COVID and sustaining three years of losses at our taproom, we find ourselves at a critical juncture. The business is growing and we are making incredible beer, yet we aren’t growing fast enough to bridge the gap from our losses over the past several years - but we are so close!

We are seeking $165,000 to continue growing our current production facility towards a sustainable future AND to build a beautiful beer garden where we can gather over pints and enjoy the small wonders of the world. To put this amount in perspective, that’s about three months of operating costs to run the production facility. We are so close and have been trending quickly to where we need to be, but we need a little push to get us there. If just half of our Instagram followers give $10 or if everyone who was gifted a beer on the house (at the original taproom) gave $25, we will hit our goal!

In some sense, this ask feels like a lot during a time that feels unsettling for many people. It also puts us in the vulnerable place of asking. But what is life without vulnerability, what is life without lifting up what we want to see exist? So in this ask, done with the utmost gratitude, we lay it out to you.

Sustainable Growth For The Future:

In March of 2023, we opened a production facility in Maple Lake, MN to begin distributing our beer in stores, bars, and restaurants. You can now find our beverages all over Minnesota, and we are continually adding new locations. In our first year of production, we have brewed 38 different recipes, packaged over 650,000 cans, and over 200 establishments carry our products! We have been able to brew many of our classic recipes, and a few new beers for us. We also continue to refine our THC Tonic line. Plus, we have other exciting beverages that are currently in the works. Yet, for us to sustain our production facility we need to keep expanding and growing.

Growing comes with a cost, and we find ourselves financially feeling the effects of the last three years. We have taken out loans on our business, our farm, and frankly, now we don't have access to the capital we need to grow. If we can make it through the next few months with your help, and with the addition of our outdoor taproom and beer garden, we are confident we will have grown to where we need to be, ensuring that Dangerous Man will be here in the future! We are so close.

The Dangerous Ship: An Outdoor Shipping Container and Beer Garden

The production facility in its first year has birthed a tiny but mighty team of talent, many great beers, and amazing dreams of what it could grow into. A part of that dream, is building a seasonal beer garden on the 2-acre grassy lot we look out to every day from the brew deck.

We are so excited about the potential that this space has! Dangerous Man Brewing aims to create a vibrant, welcoming space for folks to enjoy craft beer in an outdoor setting. This concept integrates a repurposed storage container for the serving/bar area, and a 2-acre space embracing the brewery's unique aesthetic while we explore what an outdoor gathering space could be. Our track record speaks for itself with the ability to create something out of nothing. We built and ran an incredible community garden for 6 years and Beer Alley was a unique outdoor patio we created from our shoddy little alley space in NE Minneapolis...imagine what we could do with 2-acres of beautiful green space!

The seasonal beer garden concept for Dangerous Man Brewing offers a dynamic way for the community to enjoy high-quality beverages crafted on-site in a unique setting, a place for conversation, relaxation, and some dang ole fun! We are looking for the support of our community to bring this space to life!

We have longer-term goals which include adding a grain silo, solar panels, dreams of creating a greenhouse taproom someday - and so much more!
