Rugby is developing in Malawi, just as it is in Mozambique. Jack, a coach and developer of rugby in Malawi, contacted me in January about coming together to play. We both see the opportunities and growth in both our countries with this opportunity. We will bring our ADEDAR club, we will have Malawi clubs to play against, and Tanzania will be bringing clubs. It will be history made and the start of the next step to making rugby stronger and our women more confident.
An opportunity for our women to travel and play rugby comes with many benefits.
1. The ability to develop their game by learning rugby from outside of Mozambique (and being able to bring that back to Mozambique).
2. The drive for more women and girls wanting to play rugby in Mozambique. If girls and women see the opportunity they could have to travel to play rugby, more will want to play.
3. The connecting of the rugby family and community around the world.
Our women have been working hard in Mozambique to fight for the rights of women to play and to succeed. They are living proof of how amazing they are. Help us by donating to give them the support they need to continue on with this for themselves and for all women and girls in Mozambique.
