Docs For Tots is New York State’s only pediatrician-led agency bridging policy, practice, and parents to ensure that kids ages 0-5 thrive now and throughout their lives. Our approach recognizes the challenges that practitioners face as well as the systemic disparities that impact parents.

We coordinate work with clinics, ch ildcare providers, service agencies, and we work with parents, to help make best practice everyday practice.

Our on the ground reports based on our work with families and practitioners, present challenges and solutions for implementing practices that can change the trajectory of parents’ experiences and kids’ lives.

Docs for Tots believes that there is an opportunity to focus on health and well-being in early childhood advocacy. Strong early childhood policies should include ensuring that kids receive quality early care and education, health promotion in all systems that touch children, appropriate developmental screenings, family support, and social emotional health supports and interventions.
