Lenore is a lifelong dog, local shop girl, and devoted public servant who has spent nearly one year tirelessly supporting the Salem community from her post at Nocturne. Her qualifications are extensive. She works approximately three hours a day, four days a week, with generous snack breaks. She greets constituents when she feels like it, supports small businesses by being physically carried into them, and has never met a lap she wasn’t willing to sit on.
Lenore believes Salem deserves leadership built on kindness, community, walkable streets, plentiful treats, and the fundamental right of every small dog to be picked up immediately upon request.
As a candidate for Salem Dog Mayor, Lenore is committed to bringing people together, supporting Salem Main Streets, and using her considerable platform for good. She has no political ambitions beyond this office and categorically denies rumors that she is seeking higher office. Her campaign promises include more snacks, more naps, increased lap access, protections for shop dogs, and a chicken in every pot. Preferably shredded.
