Support Jackson St. Jazz Walk

Under the themes of MUSIC, COMMUNITY, & LEGACY, the  Jazz Walk has achieved much. In 2025, the 12th Annual Jackson St. Jazz Walk will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6th, with plans to accomplish even more.

 Bands will perform along South Jackson St. at various community businesses and restaurants, located between the 18th through 30th blocks,
- Honoring and celebrating the Central District's African American music legacy;
- Featuring colorful, interactive, educational pop-ups, showcasing the Central District's historic entertainment landscape and its iconic musicians;
- Providing performance opportunities to 20 diverse and inclusive local bands;
- Helping to increase exposure and revenues for small businesses that serve as  community stages;
- And, presented as a Music For a Cause event, we will leverage attendee donations to make a financial contribution to the nonprofit Byrd Barr Place.

To commemorate legacy, enlighten minds, lift hearts, and serve our community, the 2025 fundraising goal, needed to support the cost presenting, and promoting this event, is $11,000. Will you join us?
