We’re the proud parents of two Shine performers who are beyond excited to be in both Shrek the Musical and Shrek Jr.this summer! Shine has given our kids confidence, belonging, and joy — and we want every child to have that same opportunity, regardless of their family’s background.

That’s exactly what Shine is all about.

Shine is the largest tuition-free children’s theater in North Texas, located in one of the top three theater markets in the country. Their vision? That every child, no matter their background, can shine through the performing arts.

A youth theatre focused on community, faith, and artistic excellence.

Shine was established in 2015, by Founder and Executive Director, Claire McNeill. Claire’s deep interest in the intersection of faith and the arts, and background in community development led her to create a new kind of theater that could be a safe haven for youth in Plano, TX. From very humble beginnings, this dream has been realized beyond Claire’s expectations and continues to grow today. We are now launching our first capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art facility to pave the way for future generations of students.
