As a nonprofit health clinic, Community Health Services (CHS) is a safety net care provider that offers a variety of services located in Pitkin County since 1971. At CHS we are committed to providing exceptional, integrated, patient-centered health services designed to meet the health needs of all patients, particularly those who experience barriers to care, regardless of ability to pay. CHS provides low-cost, confidential family planning and preventive health services, including: birth control information and supplies, long-acting reversible contraception (e.g., IUDs and implants), pregnancy testing and counseling, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, physical exams and cervical and breast cancer screenings and a variety of dental oral health services.

Reproductive and Sexual Health Programs and Breast and Cervical Cancer screenings provided at Community Health Services in Aspen will be cut by 40% by our federal grants. These devastating changes take effect July 1, 2025. Our programs provide access to free birth control, pregnancy testing, life-saving breast and cervical screenings and imaging, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections for anyone with limited healthcare options or resources. Investing now will ensure these programs are not disrupted and services continue to be accessible and for our local community as they have been for 50+ years!
