My name is Matthew Sampson. I am a U.S. Marine Scout Sniper veteran who served in Ukraine with the GUR/DIU International Legion, including 635 days in combat and command across 2022–2024.

For more than four years, I have been in this fight. First with a rifle in my hands. Now with my voice.

My work in support of Ukraine and worldwide freedom is funded 100% out of pocket. I am not paid by the U.S. government, the Ukrainian government, a PAC, a foundation, or any large organization. Every trip, meeting, piece of equipment, communication expense, and practical cost of continuing this mission comes from my own resources and from individual supporters.

I am no longer primarily living on the front line, but my mission has not ended. I continue to support Ukraine by returning when needed, gathering ground truth, speaking with Americans, briefing lawmakers, meeting with journalists and veterans, and helping keep Ukraine’s fight for freedom directly in front of the people who can make a difference.

This war is not only about Ukraine. It is about whether free nations have the right to exist without being erased by force. Ukraine is fighting for its own survival, but the outcome matters to the United States, Europe, and every country threatened by Russian aggression.
