🇺🇸 Supporting Matthew Sampson — An American Fighting for Freedom in Ukraine 🇺🇦

I am an American veteran volunteer who has spent 737 days in Ukraine across four trips since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. I’ve stood alongside the Ukrainian people — not as a tourist or observer, but as someone who has seen the reality of this war up close.

In the early days, I fought with my rifle. Now, I fight with my voice — speaking for those who can’t, sharing the truth of what’s happening, and reminding the world that this war is far from over.

Every single day, Putin’s forces continue to murder innocent civilians — men, women, and children — in cities and villages across Ukraine. Apartment buildings, hospitals, schools, and homes are still being targeted. This is not a political issue; it’s a moral one. It’s about good versus evil, freedom versus tyranny, and truth versus lies.

Make no mistake — America is still Russia’s #1 enemy. Putin sees the United States as the main obstacle to his imperial ambitions, and Ukraine is the frontline of that fight. When we help Ukraine, we are defending not just one nation, but the idea of freedom itself.

Since February 2024, I have served entirely as a volunteer, without pay for the work I am doing. I do this because I believe freedom is worth the cost. In 2024 during a six month stay in the U.S., I drove over 32,000 kilometers (20,000 miles) across the country — meeting with Americans, speaking with members of Congress, and sharing first-hand accounts of what is truly happening on the ground.

I am no longer homeless or living out of vehicles as I was earlier this year and last year, but the financial burden remains heavy. I continue to cover my own housing, food, travel, and medical expenses — all without any government support. My mother’s passing in March 2024 added even more emotional and financial strain, but I’ve kept going, because the mission continues.

Neither Ukraine nor the United States pays for my travel, work, or living costs. This effort depends entirely on the kindness and belief of people who understand that freedom requires action.

Your support allows me to keep doing this work — to speak, to advocate, and to make sure the world doesn’t turn away. Together, we’re reminding the world that tyranny cannot be allowed to win — not in Ukraine, not anywhere.
