This Eating Disorder Awareness Week, we are fighting for change — and staying committed to the work it takes to create it. At the Body Empowerment Project (BEP), we believe every young person deserves to feel safe, seen, and confident in their body. Our mission is to reduce eating disorder risk and empower the next generation of youth to build confidence, self-esteem, and a positive body image through inclusive education and meaningful near-peer connections. Through school-based workshops, youth leadership opportunities, and community programming, BEP creates spaces where young people can challenge harmful messages, develop critical thinking skills, and support one another in building healthier relationships with their bodies and mental health.
