The who's who of Illinois government and public policy will be gathering on Thursday, August 31, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, 301 North Water Street, Chicago, IL, to celebrate and support the Edgar Fellows Program. The cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. and the dinner at 7 p.m. Founding director of the University of Chicago's non-partisan Institute of Politics David Axelrod will be the keynote speaker at the 2023 event. David is a recognized political strategist and commentator and the former chief strategist and senior advisor to President Barack Obama. Dress for the event is business attire. Parking for the event will be available at a reduced rate of $35. A limited block of hotel rooms is being held at the Sheraton for a discounted rate. They will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Edgar Fellows Fund is a 501(c)(3). As such, the amount of your contribution for this event that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of money contributed over $115 per meal which is the value of goods or services provided by the organization.
