Story

Camp Randall Rowing Club's purpose is:

  • instructing, training, and encouraging young men and women in the sport of competitive rowing
  • developing amateur competition
  • promoting lifelong health and wellness
  • providing understanding and appreciation of the sport of rowing
  • partnering with the City of Madison to renovate, maintain, and utilize the historic and beautiful Brittingham Boathouse

To accomplish these goals, Camp Randall Rowing Club offers:

  • "Learn-to-Row" programs for high school and middle school
  • Junior Competitive Rowing program, with regattas and scrimmages all over the country
  • "WeCanRow", which provides wellness and recovery opportunities through rowing for female cancer survivors
  • Financial aid to support participants who need it
  • Rental space for rowing shells and oars

The rowers and their families volunteer continually throughout the year to raise funds for the club, and the ergathon is our main fundraising outreach to the community. Your support of CRRC during our 2023 Erg-a-Thon campaign would mean a lot because these funds allow the club to maintain our fleet of rowing shells, oars, rowing machines, and the other equipment necessary for practice and competition.

Our goal this year is to raise at least $30,000. That's a big goal, but with your help, we really believe we can make it; any donation counts. We thank you for your support!
