At H.O.M.E. (Humanitarian Outreach for Migrant Emotional Health), we respond with care, documentation, and courage — helping people heal, stay safe, and find protection.

In the past year, thanks to the compassion and commitment of our supporters, H.O.M.E. has:

Given voice to more than 150 individuals and families from 27 countries, documenting trauma and human rights abuses so their stories could lead to safety and healing.
Expanded our reach inside ICE detention, meeting people where they’re held and exposing the inhumane conditions too often hidden from view.
Spoken truth to power, advocating for trauma-informed policies and humane treatment throughout the U.S. immigration system.

Elena escaped cartel violence with her child — H.O.M.E. helped them find safety.
Aapo, a community health educator serving Indigenous villages, was detained for helping his people — our report helped secure his release.
Adamma fled persecution in Nigeria — our evaluation helped her win asylum and begin to heal.
Josue and his partner survived political violence — with H.O.M.E.’s support, they are now safe and rebuilding their lives.
Keya who earned advanced degrees in microbiology after coming to the U.S. as a student, was detained by ICE after a routine traffic stop. Our evaluation documented her fear of persecution for practicing a banned religion in her home country and is helping her legal team fight to keep her safe.

These are just a few of the hundreds of people whose lives have been transformed through compassion turned into action.
