Our goal is to fund and launch a multi-purpose Mobile Vaccine, Microchip, and Quarantine Unit — a resource that would fundamentally change how we support dogs, foster families, and our broader community. When a dog needs help, our first question is always the same: who will foster? In reality, foster homes without dogs of their own are almost nonexistent, and when a dog arrives coughing, with crusty eyes, or exposed to something contagious, safe options disappear quickly. Protecting the dogs already in our care matters just as much as helping the next one.

This unit gives us another way to say yes — responsibly. It would allow dogs to be safely observed and stabilized when immediate foster placement isn’t possible, without putting foster homes or resident pets at risk. A climate-controlled, livable space with a sleeping area for a foster-human ensures dogs are monitored, supported, and never left alone during intake. This is not about convenience; it’s about safety, ethics, and sustainability.

Being mobile also means we can go where help is needed most. This unit would allow us to reach rural and underserved areas, respond more quickly to urgent situations, and support partner shelters, animal control, and community members when access or cost is a barrier. Care can begin sooner — often before a situation escalates into crisis.

Beyond rescue, this unit is a tool for prevention and way to help the community. It would allow us to host free or low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics, helping keep dogs healthy, identifiable, and out of shelters altogether. Vaccines and microchips are simple, powerful interventions, and expanding access to them is one of the most effective ways to reduce suffering before it starts.

This is a 2026 goal — and it must be funded to become real. The vision and planning are in place; what’s needed now is support. Every dollar moves this project closer to launch and helps build infrastructure that serves both rescue dogs and the community at large.
