For over four decades, EVkids has been empowering under-resourced Boston youth, now from grade 3 through college graduation, with 1-on-1 Tutoring, College Success mentoring, and a summer Camp in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Last summer, and again this school year, EVkids’ primary vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Caravan, broke down, jeopardizing our ability to safely transport students and campers. This unexpected challenge compromises our students’ access to critical Tutoring sessions, college visits, and summer camp experiences. Our students, coming from the most vulnerable communities, rely on EVkids’ services to overcome barriers to education and participation, with reliable transportation being a critical component of our comprehensive support.

Immediate Goal: Raise funds to cover the unexpected cost of replacing EVkids’ 2012 Dodge Caravan with the “new” vehicle (pictured above) to ensure the safe transportation of students and campers.

Long-term Goal: Secure additional funds to support ongoing transportation needs for Tutoring sessions, college visits, mentoring days on campus, summer camp, and other critical activities.
