Why I Support Sesen, Teleka, and 30 Other Brave Young Women When I was first introduced to Sesen and Teleka, I wasn’t just meeting two visually impaired students—I was encountering two extraordinary young women whose courage and determination instantly moved me. Despite their visual impairments, they pursue their education with unwavering focus, humility, and strength. Their challenges are real—but so are their dreams. In a world that too often overlooks girls like them, they rise with quiet defiance, proving that disability is not inability. What stood out most was not what they lacked—but the fire in their spirit, the hunger to learn, and the hope they carried for a better future. That’s why I believe in this mission. My family and I proudly support 30 young women like Sesen and Teleka across Ethiopia. Each has a story. Each has a dream. And each one deserves the chance to rise above circumstances they did not choose. But this is just the beginning.
