Help Us Reach Our Goal to Support Families in Need

In March 2024, we launched the Empowered Angel Program to support autistic individuals who face significant communication challenges and are at risk of elopement—a behavior where a person may suddenly leave a safe space without warning, potentially placing themselves in harm’s way. For families, the fear of a loved one wandering off can be overwhelming. This program was created to provide peace of mind by offering vital safety resources.

Our mission is centered on supporting autistic individuals from marginalized and under-resourced communities. Each year, we aim to serve at least 10 families by providing a wearable GPS device, a prepaid annual subscription, and essential accessories—a package valued at up to $800. These life-saving tools allow caregivers to track and protect their loved ones with greater confidence.

Our Grants

Everett’s Angel – Awarded in March in loving memory of Everett Molino, a bright and energetic young man who was a joy to know. Though Everett could speak, his communication was limited. His memory lives on through this grant, helping other families to keep their loved ones safe.

Ujima’s Angel – Awarded in August and inspired by the Kwanzaa principle Ujima, meaning “building and maintaining our community together.” This grant emphasizes collective responsibility and care for the most vulnerable, especially within the African-American community. In August 2024, we proudly awarded the first Ujima’s Angel grant to a kindergartner just in time for the new school year.
